Do you know how hairstyling scissors are sharpened? I found this video on YouTube, showing how professional hairdressing scissors are sharpened. They have convex blades, which is japanese scissors design.
To sharpen them you need to take blades apart and sharpen each one separately. This video shows sharpening on a stone, which is still widely used, although there are some electric sharpeners used also.
If you would like to sharpen your scissors check this video, although I wouldn't reccomend your most expensive scissors for the first time ;)
